Skills used
• Modelled a Smart Home Automation system with 3 security features including unauthorized entry, smoke and gas leak detection using various sensors, Arduino Uno, and Raspberry Pi 3 to provide users with intelligent yet cost-effective solution with added security
• Integrated the system with a GUI by developing an Android mobile application using JAVA to provide user-friendly interface to control devices remotely from anywhere in the house via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
• Presented and documented the project report using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint explaining the objective, synopsis, and future scope of the automation system that resulted in nomination of the project for the University award
• Fetched sensor and app data from back-end databases by writing complex SQL queries and integrated it to the front end Android mobile application
